The distance of the Temple of Zelemér from Debrecen is only 30 kilometres back and forth. Cycling on the flat lands of Hajdúhát is a pleasant experience for even the less trained. You can approach the Temple of Zelemér, built on the destroyed Kunhalom, on the by-pass between Debrecen and Hajdúböszörmény of Road 35. The late Gothic halfoctagon shaped northern sexton temple was built on the hills depopulated during the Tatar Invasion and repopulated during the XVI century. In the Middle Ages the Ottoman Turks destroyed the village and the only remaining memory of that time is the ruin of the temple. The remaining 18 metres high truncated temple is still one of the favourite goal of hikers for its magnificent view. The dinky line is a lifelong experience for smalls and grown-ups alike. The recreational forest at Hármashegy is a favourite target of hikers and can be approached by the Zsuzsi Forest Train dinky line seasonally. The oldest narrow-gauge rail in Hungary was built in 1882 and was used to transport extracted wood from the forests of Gúth belonging to Debrecen. The famous sights along the rail such as the Devil’s Ditch of Csereerdő, the nature trail of Hármashegyalja and the Forester’s Hut are destinations to explore for every tourist. The panorama road found at the latter leads to the Temple of Fancsika build in the middle ages and the ‘Hókuszpókusz Szabadidőpark’ (Abracadabra Recreational Centre) of Erdőpuszta. The ‘Hókuszpókusz Szabadidőpark’ built at Tamásipuszta belonging to Nyíradony will offer a magical experience. Really a magical and fabled world will wait those wishing for relaxation at Tamásipuszta situated only 25 kilometres from Hajdúhadház, 14 kilometres from Nyíradony, 6 kilometres from Hajdúsámson and 27 kilometres from Debrecen. The complex in construction will offer a fishing lake, winter and summer ski track, a snow donut track, folk games island, archery range, trampoline, downhill master, laser fight track with weapons, children quad and bicycle renter to the visitors. For the smalls a jumping castle is being built while the 8D movie theatre will offer a real movie dessert. The ‘Hókuszpókusz Szabadidőpark’ opens its gates at the fall of 2015 and it can be the location of team building trainings, events organised by a group of friends and summer camps as well as family relaxation.
