BIRLA CARBON HUNGARY PLANT is part of Birla Carbon and still the
only carbon black producer company in Hungary. The production was
started in 1993 as a result of a greenfield investment. Birla Carbon Hun-

gary is part of Aditya Birla Group and Birla Carbon with 17 companies
through 5 continents.
BCH applies the best available technology. The company has complex
- quality, safety and environmental, energy - management system (ISO
9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949). BCH is a supplier
of the largest tyre manufacturers and to specialty blacks market. The

commitment to sustainability is reflected in our everyday operational
accountability towards employee safety, environmental stewardship
advancement of surrounding communities and responsible business

practices thus translating to a sustainable and profitable business model.
The company is also committed to social responsibility, so we eventually
invite citizens, students for Open Day with plant tour and also focusing
on to support foundations, charity activities, the kids.
Net zero carbon emission by 2050

Through the year 2021, Birla Carbon has made some significant steps to
change the course of the future. It announced the aspiration to achieve
net zero carbon emissions by 2050, and launched their fi rst Sustainable
TM
Carbonaceous Material – Continua to the world.
Birla Carbon’s goal of net zero carbon emissions by 2050 will be achieved
by focusing on four over-arching segments. These 4R segments are:
