Treasures of Mátra
Who would not know the tallest mountains of our coun-
try, the Mátra. We can admire wine-making slopes running
from the grasslands at the south, while romantic mountain
ranges, favoured by the historical outlaws, dominate at the
north. It is, however, worth taking a thorough walk on the
steep tops and in the creek valleys. The water of the emerg-
ing springs, which is the result of the volcanic operation that

hours are the healers of our body and soul. We learn a new
side of the forest in the Mátra at every season. Atmospheric
accommodations and local flavours await the weary travel-
lers at the villages in the valley. Explore the Mátra!
