The expansion of the Industrial Park located in the south-
ern part of the county seat, which has been operating for and dynamic

All this contributed to the fact that in the global survey
of FDI Intelligence, a division of the Financial Times,
Nyíregyháza was added to the list of the 5 best investment-
promotion destinations in the world in the category of
emerging cities in the 2021/2022 season. Th e newspa-
per examined a number of factors while compiling each
category, such as the development of local economy, the
measures to promote investment, the existence of the local
organizations that can help, or the steps taken to achieve
economic development in recent years.
In 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of

Foreign Affairs, and the Hungarian Investment Promotion
Agency, gave the “Industrial Park of the Year Award” to the
Industrial Park of Nyíregyháza.
