#DEBRECEN
In Debrecen, a great day starts with freshly roasted coffee in
the Cut & Coffee café, where your hair style can be matched
to your mood in the hairdresser’s salon upstairs. With such a
start to the day, you can begin discovering the town from the
colourful buildings, the spacious town centre squares with
fountains, and through the museum district to the Nagyerdő
(Great Forest) on foot, by tram, or on rented bicycles or elec-
tric rickshaws.
Your friends and followers will not only admire the photos
shot at the hottest Selfi e spots, but they will also envy them!
You should take a picture of yourself with each letter of “Deb-
recen”, placed on the main square from spring to autumn, or
shoot a selfi e with the “poet” in the Ady Park. Life is beautiful
in pairs, so no one can go home without tasting the real De-
brecen double sausage or putting a padlock with the love of
their life to the Key Gate. Such common experiences can be
crowned by a quiet walk or an afternoon of shopping.
From the lookout tower or climbing wall of the Water Tower of
Nagyerdő, not only the Great Forest itself, but also the town
centre can be seen, and you can plan further programmes
from high above, and discuss the details while sipping your
cocktail in the Water Tower’s garden after watching the sun-
set. Of course, life does not stop in the town centre at night!
The spectacular night light show and the terraces of Hal köz
(Fish Close) provide an ideal venue for a friendly chat and
summer night relaxation, which can be continued in the
Roncsbár (Ruin Bar), Debrecen’s fi rst wreck pub, at the con-
certs of the Water Tower of Nagyerdő, or in the Hall, which is
one of the country’s largest clubs.
