Naturally, the county itself is also a paradise for nature
                     lovers. Ours is one of the most diverse counties in Hun-
                     gary, because the Great Plain meets the North Hungarian   Bükk,
                     Mountains here, which means that the southern part of the
                     county is a plain, while the northern corner is surrounded

                     by mountains. The highest peak of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemp-  Zemplén
                     lén is Felső-Borovnyák, which awaits the hikers at a height
                     of 945 metres.

                     Naturally, this diverse region provides a significant part of
                     the National Blue Trail. 247.8 kilometres of the 1,100-kilo-  Blue Trail,
                     metre route lead through Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County
                     to help hikers immerse themselves in the treasures of
                     nature in five sections. One such section invites you to   water tour

                     the Bükk Mountains. The route takes you from Bánkút

                     through Mályinka and Uppony to Putnok on 26.3 km, and
                     then the fairytale world of the Aggtelek Karst enchants   Borsod-Abaúj-
                     travellers, touching the villages of Kelemér, Zádorfalva,
                     Aggtelek, Jósvafő, Derenk, Szabó-pallag, and Bódvaszilas.  Zemplén County –
                     Naturally, Cserehát also has its “blue trails”. On the 61.7 km
                     route, one can get to know the nature-friendly surround-  Naturally
                     ings of Bódvarákó, Tornabarakony, Rakacaszend, Irota,
                     Felsővadász, Nyésta, Abaújszolnok, Baktakék, Fancsal, as
                     well as Abaújdevecser, Encs, Gibárt, and Boldogkőváralja.
                     Together, the two Zemplén sections of the Blue Trail lead
                     us for almost 95 km, among others, in the wonderful sur-
                     roundings of Regéc, Istvánkúti, Eszkála, Makkoshotyka,
                     Cirkálótanya, Bányi-nyereg, Vágáshuta, Nagyhuta, Bózsva,
                     Füzér, Nagy-Milic, and Hollóháza.
                     Naturally, in addition to the forests, the county is also rich
                     in water. The rivers of Bodrog and Tisza, and the streams

                     of Bódva, Szinva, Hejő, Vadász-patak, Aranyos-patak,
                     Ronyva, Hotyka-patak, Bán-patak, Hernád, or even Jósva
                     and Takta. Just a few of the streams and rivers that cross
                     the lands of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County. In some of
                     them, lovers of water sports and water tours can indulge
                     their passion.
